SATURDAY AUGUST 6TH- 11.00 AM- 12.30 PM
Based at the Community Centre, in the pretty Norfolk village of Poringland just south of Norwich, why not come along and learn the skills of glass making?
In this class you will learn all about the variety of tools and types of glasses that can be used for fusing, as well as the different firing techniques alongside glass mosaic cutting and layering skills.
This class is suitable for all abilities and in it you will design and make your own summer wildflower meadow curved glass screen or dish. The curved screen can be stood on a surface with candles behind or similarly on a windowsill with different light to illuminate the vibrant glass colours.
At the end of the session your creations will be carefully transported to my studio to be kiln fired for between 5 and 10 hours and will be delivered to you all shiny and beautiful around two weeks later.
I design my classes to enable participants to make high value pieces of art that are useful as well as decorative, allowing for them to be displayed and treasured forever ( so don't worry- I promise you won't end up with something you end up shoving in a drawer!)
All tools, materials, kiln firing and delivery are included in the class cost
Drinks will not be provided due to safety issues- though you are welcome to bring your own in a sealed cup or bottle.
PARKING IS AVAILABLE ON SITE.
